Service Description
The most stress-free introduction to fiber arts. It's as simple as an adult coloring book or a paint by numbers kit. But you'll leave with your own uniquely shaped and styled artwork which you can proudly hang in any room. Looking for a unique experience for a night out in Southern Maryland? Date night, ladies night or pub club? These single session projects are great for - When you're already out on the town, and ready to have a little fun (or maybe already had some fun, or two) - Date night (another Marvel movie? I think I saw this already) -When you say you're not creative (but deep down we know you are, and you're ready to unleash it) Choose from one of the themed designs in the photos below. Note your selection- you'll specify on the booking form. The design will be outlined for you and you'll select the colors to fill the pattern to your own liking. DETAILS: - First Friday walk-ins! Come in any time and select from one of the preset designs to paint yourself. Each hoop painting takes ~90 minutes to complete. Fits easily into your Leonardtown nightly entertainment! -You're preselected design will be waiting for you when you arrive. -The wax will already be applied, but if you'd like to add any additional details, or embellishments, you'll have the opportunity to do so. Check out the other class offerings or contact eric@bayfibersstudio.com to arrange a special design for your event) - We'll have a brief overview of the paint/dye process, mixing colors, and techniques. - You'll have a palette tray full of our standard colors plus more to mix any custom colors for your own liking. - You'll spend the majority of the time painting your design. Painting on fabric is a very satisfying process. The colors are INCREDIBLY vivid, and the process is relaxing- almost meditative. - The dyes dry slowly, but you'll be able to take your hoop home with you immediately or you can go out for a drink after you're done and pick up your piece same night (by 9:00 pm) or next day. - These pieces are meant as wall hangings. The wax is meant to stay on them, but if you'd like them cleaned that can be arranged too. For wearable pieces, check out some of the other course offerings.
