Long Point

Long Point

Large Rocks

Staring towards the sun

Sinking low towards the west

As I throw into the wind

I can pivot

I can turn

Just like the temperature

Sinking low

I know you brought the wind

Dragging bottom

Dragging shells

Heavy lures

Sink too fast

But fly so far

I know the problem

This day

Has dragged

Out far enough

The sun declares

With one last flash

Drag it back in

One last time

But don't drag your feet

lest you slip up that sinking slope

On your way home
